Four weeks!
Last Friday, a milk-drunk Henry joined me for a short Zoom happy hour with some friends from my grad school days. We've been doing these happy hours pretty regularly throughout the pandemic. It's been no small part of our collective ability to keep sane over the past year. One of them remarked that he was so happy to see we were writing mundane updates on the blog, instead of still detailing the emotional rollercoaster that the ICU and post-surgery recovery could have been. We are too :)
So, in that spirit, here's another happily mundane update on our chunky monkey.
Henry is four weeks old today, and as of Tuesday's check-up, nearly two pounds more than his birth weight. He's got his work cut out for him to get through this latest box of Pampers newborn size diapers before growing out of them. He's taking this challenge head-on, starting with a single-day PR of 17 diapers on Tuesday. We also said good bye for now to my parents, who headed home last weekend (they'll be back), and are looking forward to seeing more of Sarah's family in the coming weeks.
